How Do I Delete My Flackle Account?
We understand that sometimes you may want to delete your account. At Flackle, we take both privacy and community integrity seriously. Here’s exactly what happens when you delete your account.
Last updated About 1 year ago
What Happens Immediately
You’ll be logged out of Flackle right away.
Your profile, email, avatar, and username are removed and/or anonymized from our systems.
Any subscriptions you have will be canceled.
If you own any servers, you’ll need to transfer ownership or delete those servers individually before deleting your account.
Pending Deletion (30 Days)
When you delete your account, it will enter a 30-day pending deletion state.
During this time:
Your username and avatar will be replaced with “Deleted User”.
Your messages will still be visible for context, but anonymized.
You will not receive DMs, mentions, or notifications.
You can log back in at any point within 30 days to restore your account.
Final Deletion (After 30 Days)
After 30 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted. This includes:
Messages, posts, and reactions you’ve made.
Any remaining personal information tied to your account.
Any content that could identify you.
Once deleted, this process cannot be reversed.
Why We Keep Messages Anonymized for 30 Days
We use a short retention window for important reasons:
Account recovery: In case you delete your account by mistake.
Community continuity: To avoid breaking conversations instantly.
Safety and compliance: For ongoing moderation investigations or legal requests.
After 30 days, your messages and data are permanently erased — ensuring your privacy is fully respected.
Inactive Accounts
If your account is inactive for 2 years, it may also be scheduled for deletion. We’ll send a notice before this happens.
Can I Delete Everything Right Away?
To protect our communities and comply with legal obligations, we do not offer instant full deletion of messages. However, all personal identifiers are removed immediately, and your messages are permanently erased after the 30-day window.
